Therapeutic Harp Music
bedside harp music for patients
After playing harp in the pavilion of Manning Family Children’s for several years, I was inspired by the soothing power of the harp for both patients and family members. I am currently in the practicum portion of the Clinical Musician Certification Program (CMCP) through Harp for Healing, LLC (Accredited by the National Standards Board for Therapeutic Music).
Through my training, I have learned how to play individualized therapeutic music sessions for patients. I am able to adapt the style of music to meet each individual’s needs in order to help patients find a place of healing and peace.
For bedside playing, I use a smaller harp that can be easily moved between patient rooms.

Below is a sample of my therapeutic harp music that would be suitable for a patient in pain or hospice.
music for public Medical environments
In 2023, I completed the Public Music for Medical Environments training program through Harp for Healing, LLC. This certificate qualifies me to offer live music in public areas of hospitals, hospices, nursing homes, and other medical environments.
In public medical environments, I play music from different time periods and genres on the harp. I personally try to be sensitive to the often stressful nature of these environments. Rather than adding loud distraction, I play with the intent to be both calming and uplifting.
A sample of my music for public medical environments is below.
